This foundational training provides a comprehensive overview of the key aspects you encounter daily in a logistics, export, or customs department. You will be guided through the use of Incoterms, how to search for and determine HS codes, origin and supplier declarations, and various export documents. Each of these topics will be explored ensuring you to understand their significance and how they facilitate your export and/or import processes.

Jens de Prins - Deloitte
With in-depth expertise in international trade and customs regulations, Jens De Prins is an authority in the field of origin and supplier declarations. Before joining Deloitte in 2022, Jens worked as an international trade expert at the Federal Public Service Economy. His role included a focus on preferential and non-preferential rules of origin, which he further developed as Belgian representative in the European Commission's customs expert group. At Deloitte, Jens also shares his in-depth knowledge through training for organizations such as Voka, Syntra and various sector federations, with an emphasis on customs-related topics such as classification, origin and special customs regulations.

Ward Minnaert - KPMG
Before starting his career at KPMG, Ward worked successively for the National Bank of Belgium as a Brexit expert and the FPS Economy as an expert on origins and trade instruments. In addition to broad knowledge, these work experiences also gave him good contacts with sector federations and government institutions. As a supervisor at KPMG, he is currently responsible for the follow-up of various projects (including tariff suspensions, origin of goods, customs permits and AEO certification) for a diverse client portfolio (both SMEs and multinationals).
